I never read that book, although I've heard about it in a Japanese novel called "Norwegian Wood" (La ballade de l'impossible), by Haruki Murakami. I should be looking forward to read it eventually and finally, would you mind telling us a little bit about the story of "The Great Gastby" and also what made you love the novel in your own way?

Quoting hiddendragon:It's a story narrated by Nick Carraway and talks about Gatsby trying to "win the heart" of Daisy. Nick is a comfortable middle-class person while Gatsby is upper-class (but he became one). The story is a blend of rich abusing the poor (Tom controlling Wilson) and the American Dream (of Gatsby). The story encompasses the psychological and social factors that make, which is what I liked. I think my initial reaction as a reader was to criticize some characters while see others as 'better'. Yet, I enjoyed understanding the characters and their behavior through the many factors that make them who they are and make them do what they do. Ah well, when I'll be done with the book "So spoke Zarathoustra" (Ainsi parlait Zarathoustra), from Friedrich Nietzsche, a 19th century German philosopher known for his so-called "willingness to become powerful" theory, I'll have to find another book to read.
