Montreal is famous for its nightlife, but I'm sure that's not your cup of tea. Montreal is also known for its green spaces. There are a few large natural parks on West Island and obviously a large urban park on the peak of Mont-Royal.

There is the tennis championships later this summer.

Montreal hosts arguably the biggest fireworks competition in the world (now showing on Saturdays at 10pm); it also hosts the biggest humour festival in the world (just for laughs) and possibly the biggest jazz festival. Nascar festivals should be expected throughout the racing week at the end of August.

St-Jean Baptiste will sure be a blast if you're feeling the vibe and so will Canada Day.

That said, I'd rather spend my vacation elsewhere... Lucky Phil <_<

Because your own city usually reminds you that you have to work and get things done instead of thinking what fun places there are. Also, considering the time you spend in your own city, you know the limits of the city therefore losing some of its mystique whereas you would sense a magic feeling in an attractive city where you only see the positives.

You'd be surprised how many people actually want to come here, a rare North American city that contains a strong European influence.

I like how there's a Jump to and Move to section. Seems like bob has been updating this crappy site from being bored.
