I'm not surprised if future countries will follow suit... The world's focused in security more than freedom Seems like we live in a big cage these days... Maybe the middle ages weren't so bad after all, except for tyrannical kings. ______________________ |

Chinese government may be considered "evil" (then again, I think most governments are IMO), but it's insulting when the hate or target is geared towards the Chinese people. (Not referring to people here, but this is a response to what Sharon Stone said (too lazy to create another thread )

In case you did not know yet, Sharon Stone said that the earthquake was all karma. I fail to see what the CCP's atrocities have to do with the Chinese villagers living in that earthquake zone.

Also, I believe evil may simply be a clash of cultures and standards, not that I'm defending or supporting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP for short) or anything, but I do think that much of their bad actions are amplified to a ridiculous degree by the western media while the same mistakes that may be done from the local government are somewhat downplayed (I suspiciously assume anyways). My opinions are the same when I see how countries like Palestine and much of the Middle East are being demonized. Not saying I think they are better or worse than we do, but I assume their atrocities are grossly exaggerated in what we see on newspapers.
