As I was formatting a DVD, I noticed Vista's powerful approximation capabilities.

See for yourself:

PS: It actually took about 5 minutes to complete.

So how do you like Vista? I don't find it that special so far except for the novelty and the gadget sidebar.

i like the new look and features. the only thing is that it's "heavy", meaning that it uses about 40% of my RAM even if i'm not running much.

I just got a laptop 2 months ago. Of course, I thought about having XP installed on it. In the end, I wasn't left with much choice, because DirectX 10 is just compatible with Vista. Anyway, Vista graphics might look quite attractive, but I couldn't digest the fact that it's slower than XP. For instance, when you make a right-click on an icon, it takes a few seconds more than in XP to see the box appear. Add to this the minor bugs that often occur when you just try to open the folders (ex: Games, Control Panel, etc.). Really disappointing.
